THE XCORD COLLECTION.
The Chair.
The initial idea of the Xcord was to create a piece of furniture that finds its use in outdoor as well as in indoor areas. Inspired by Dedons modern woven furniture, combined with a mixture of natural sustainable materials, I wanted to create a collection for everybody, everywhere.
A collection of chairs, loungers, seats and tables that can withstand the toughest outdoor conditions and still retain the elegance and character of a classic indoor furniture.

The Process.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you get new assignment, from your professor at university. Whatever it is, it all starts with an idea, a sketch, a model, a prototype.
The prototype.
To get a better feeling for the dimensions, seating comfort and aesthetics of the chair, I created a prototype. This also allowed me to test the material connections and check the strength of the cord.
At the end of this procedure stood the XCORD chair, which embodies the overlap between outdoor and indoor furniture and is suited for use in both places. The taut seat gives the armchair an airy lightness, while the reliable material underlines the quality of the design. In terms of color, the frame can be combined with different rope colors.
