Hi, my name is Charles Elsen. I am 24 years old and recently completed my studies in product design with a specialization in furniture design at the FH Aachen.

Drawing, crafting, and building have always been among my favorite pastimes, which eventually led me to design and craftsmanship. While I enjoy modern digital work, I also value analogue activity. I love putting my own creative ideas into practice, therefore I frequently find myself in my own modest workshop, where all of my projects to date have been completed.

What makes a good designer for me? To me, a good designer is someone who has an eye for potential improvements and takes pleasure in redesigning their surroundings on a daily basis. This way, we can continuously discover new approaches that can make a difference.

As for my future, I see myself in furniture design. Creating my own collections or designing furniture that meet the needs of my clients enriches me and motivates me to get out of bed in the morning, even though I cannot imagine abandoning my work in the workshop.
